The Pisi wool diaper cover is made of double merino wool fabric. The lining is GOTS certified organic merino* and the outer is a soft Oeko-tex 100 Standard ** merino wool knitwear that stretches, ensuring a good fit and maximum comfort for the child. The fabrics are mulesing free.
Chestnut ONLY is plant-dyed and made with 100% organic merino wool.
Wool allows the child's skin to breathe, is antibacterial and is ideal for both summer and winter wear.
Inside the diaper cover, there are pockets, under which it is convenient to push the contents of the diaper into place e.g. a padfolded flat. The cover can be adjusted using the rise and waist snaps according to the child's weight and body structure.

This is a cover only and absorbency is required, for example preflat, flat or padfolded nappy or fitted nappy.
If you wanted to use thick ore heavily boosted absorbency, we recommend you size up. Although the stretchy fabric makes this cover quite generous.
The merino wool cover is water repellent, not waterproof. This means that in some cases the wool can absorb moisture and start to leak. For example, if the baby is in the crawling phase, he sleeps on his stomach at night or while driving, when the pressure on the diaper is high; as well as if the diaper is too tight or the body/pants are too tight. In these moments, an additional layer of wool soaked in lanolin water is effective, which can be placed between the wool cover and the diaper content and provides additional protection.
This cover will need to be lanolised approximately 2-3 times before first use. Thereafter lanolin treatments can be more spaced out as and when needed.
* With the GOTS certificate, it is guaranteed that the wool is clean, the sheep are treated well, the sheep breeders receive fair remuneration, the entire production process and waste management are responsible. Even now, when organic wool is increasingly in demand in the world, it is still only 1% of all wool.
